# Drive

> Files and folders from cloud storage providers, in one shape.

The Drive category lists the files and folders a connection can see in a cloud storage account.

**Use it to:** build a file picker, import documents into your product, or show which files are linked to a record.

## Endpoint

| Endpoint | What it does |
| - | - |
| `GET /v1/drive/files` | List files and folders |

Parameters and full schema: [Unified API reference](/docs/api-reference/unified-api). Which storage providers are supported: [bundleup.io/integrations](https://www.bundleup.io/integrations).

## Example

```bash theme={null}
curl "https://unify.bundleup.io/v1/drive/files?limit=50" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "BU-Connection-Id: conn_abc123"
```

```json theme={null}
{
  "data": [
    {
      "id": "1a2b3c4d",
      "name": "Q3 Board Deck.pdf",
      "mime_type": "application/pdf",
      "size": 2483021,
      "created_at": "2026-08-30T09:00:00Z",
      "updated_at": "2026-09-01T11:22:00Z",
      "url": "https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a2b3c4d/view",
      "is_folder": false
    }
  ],
  "metadata": { "next": "dG9rZW4=" }
}
```

| Field | Notes |
| - | - |
| `is_folder` | `true` for folders. Folders usually have `null` `size` and `mime_type`. |
| `size` | Bytes. `null` when the provider doesn’t report it (native docs, for example). |
| `url` | A link to open the file in the provider’s web app. |

## Notes

* **Which files appear** depends on the provider and the scopes on the integration. Some scopes only expose files the user picked or your app created.
* **Downloading content** isn’t part of the Unified API. Use the file’s `id` with the provider’s download endpoint through the [Proxy](/docs/guides/proxy/making-requests). Responses are streamed, so large files work.
* **Folder browsing:** to list a specific folder’s contents, pass the provider’s folder filter through [`params`](/docs/guides/unified/conventions#provider-parameters), or use the Proxy.
